Dried fruits have many important benefits besides the ability to eat them on the long run, because they are preserved, like treating some diseases such as osteoporosis, fatigue, gout and high blood pressure.
Dried raisins, for example, have the ability to treat osteoporosis, especially when taken with other certain foods such as yogurt which is rich in calcium.

Dried apricot has a role in the treatment of high blood pressure, it contains potassium 3 times more than banana. Potassium has an effective role in reducing blood pressure and limiting heart diseases.
Eating four grains of dried fig daily helps to treat anemia because of its content of high percentage of iron. It is best to be taken with a glass of orange juice which is rich in vitamin C that helps the body to absorb iron.

Dried fruits may be more useful than fresh fruits sometimes. The benefits are due to their content of:

Fibers that help to purify the intestines,

Calcium that strengthens bones, and

 Vitamins which are useful for those with weak vision.
Eating dried fruits also helps to increase the immunity of the body against diseases, and lowers cholesterol level in blood.

 Dried fruits contain a lot of antioxidants, polyphenols and nutrients like fresh fruit and sometimes more. They help in cancer and heart disease.
Some people may not know that dried fruits are fruits that have undergone a process of extracting liquids to preserve them, so they never get damaged because the sugar concentration is high. The sugar and salt are considered preservatives, because they absorb water and fluids from the fruit so germs and microbes can’t live in dried fruits.
